Commonwealth H20 - Blue Ridge is a full service water conservation and conditioning company, serving Virginia since 1979. We offer st
ate of the art solutions to a wide variety of water problems and concerns. Utilizing non-electric chemical free water treatment equipment, we are able to save our customers from costly plumbing, fixture and appliance repairs by removing containments such as excessive Iron, Hardness, Chlorine, Sulfur odors, and Acidic Water. Our Reverse Osmosis drinking water system will keep harmful water borne contaminants out of drinking water saving customers the need to purchase, haul, store and dispose of bottled water. Ultraviolet lights will provide your family with 24/7/365 protection against coliform or E-coli bacteria. Our water conditioners can save customers up to 60% of soaps and cleaning chemicals, greatly reducing the amount of phosphates and cleaners that re-enter our watersheds.
We have teamed up with BRAC systems out of Canada to provide a truly easy greywater recycling system. It's about the size of a water heater and will recycle bath and shower water back to your toilets saving up to 30% of water usage in your home. It can also be plumbed outside for subsurface irrigation.
Rainwater harvesting is also on the minds of people and we can help design a system for their home or business from a rain barrel to a fully functional irrigation system. Rainwater has many uses including irrigating gardens, and yards, washing clothes or filling toilets. It can be used to fill fire trucks or swimming pools, wash cars or boats or clean outdoor furniture.
We also can preserve well water levels with a "Well Manager" This is
designed to preserve the quantity of water in a well by only harvesting what the well produces on a minute by minute basis. This prevents "overpumping" a well which has been shown to greatly reduce the recovery of a well potentially causing it to run dry. We are able to run an 8,000 square foot home with 4 baths on a well that has only a half gallon minute recovery. It can also be designed with irrigation in mind.
